"I knew from the moment we met that I was going to be
working with him," says Annie, recalling her 1977 introduction to David. Indeed, the
musical match clicked immediately, even though the duo initally worked with another
person, Peet Coombes, in a combo called The Tourists. When Peet left the group, David and
Annie picked up a synthesizer and perfected their rhythmic sound. Annies vocals and Davids instrumental technique blend together like a dream, and David claims there couldnt be a better collaboration. "Were both either leaping around going thats great, thats great or were at each others throats going no, no! and that incredible caring is what really counts!"
